Modern Day Loyalty With Adam Lallana

Adam Lallana - Manchester City v Southampton - Premier League

Adam Lallana, here we have a player who has stayed loyal to Southampton over the years, many times he could've  left for a bigger club. But no he stuck through the bad times, did his time in the lower divisions made a name for himself and now his loyalty has been rewarded with the Captaincy of Southampton and his inclusion into the England Squad. There is no need to take a short cut in football to gain success or financial gains, here we have a modern day role model who brings a smile to kids faces with his incredible skill and wonderful personality. I would like to wish Adam Lallana every success, no one deserves this accolade more than this young man.

Do not think of Adam Lallana as the one that got left behind. True, he was part of the Southhampton team that reached the 2005 FA Youth Cup final and watched as, one by one, his former team-mates departed to make names for themselves in the top flight: Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale, of course, but also Nathan Dyer, who excelled with Swansea City last season, and Leon Best, who struck four goals for Newcastle last term.
